I joined the firm
in 1999 following my call to the Bar. After obtaining a Bachelor
of Commerce degree at McGill University, I continued my education
at the University of Manitoba where I graduated from the faculty
of Law. I went on to be called to the Bar in the Province
of Ontario where I am practicing Family and Criminal Law.
I am also a notary Public.
I have found Brampton to be an ideal place to grow my practice.
The community has welcomed me and I am currently involved
with the local legal network. I sit on the Board of Directors
of The Peel Law Association, and am vice President of the
Peel Criminal Lawyers Association, in addition I am also a
member of the Ontario Criminal Lawyers Association.
In May 2006, I was invited by the Attorney General to act
as a Children’s Lawyer for matters before the Ontario
Court of Justice and Superior Court of Justice matters, where
Children are granted court appointed lawyers to express the
views and preferences via their own representation. This work
has complemented my usual practice as children are the most
vulnerable in these situations.
I am very passionate about my work, I strive to provide each
and every client excellent representation in a candid manner.
Whenever possible, I encourage out of court settlements, but
when the situation requires advocacy, I strongly and decisively
act in the interest of my client.
I represent clients in all aspects of Family law, including
contentious custody and child support cases, division of property,
marriage contracts, separation agreements, pension and business
ownership division and other related court proceedings. Similarly,
I also represent clients in all aspects of criminal law including
Jury trials and other litigated matters involving adult and
young persons who are charged with a criminal offence.
I take pride in staying current with the latest Family and
Criminal Law developments to effectively guide my clients
through the legal process. My dedication and experience allow
me to provide clarity in what often feels like an overwhelming
situation.
I would be happy to hear from you, should you require my
assistance.
