I grew up in Brampton and attended
the University of Western Ontario, where I received my Bachelor
of Arts and Bachelor of Laws degrees. I completed my articles
of clerkship in London, and worked in a small firm during
the Bar Admission Course until I was called to the Bar in
1991.
Since then I have practiced primarily family law and real
estate law, as well as wills, estates, and personal injury
litigation.
I am licenced to complete private adoptions, and have assisted
in bringing a number of new families together over the years.
I am also certified as a family law mediator, and as such
have helped numerous people resolve their problems quickly
and in a mutually beneficial way.
I serve as a deputy judge of the Small Claims Court in Brampton
on a regular basis.
I am also actively involved in a number of community services.
I am on the Board of Directions of the Peel Law Association,
and represent the Association on a number of outside committees,
such as the Land Registry Liaison Committee, and the Superior
Court Bench and Bar Committee. I am also on the Board of Directors
of the Elizabeth Fry Society, an association dedicated to
assisting women that have been involved in the criminal justice
system in reintegrating into society. I have also given a
number of information seminars on interesting topics to the
public in association with the Peel Regional Police, and regularly
participate in fund-raising activities for William Osler Hospital.
Please feel free to contact me so that I might assist you.
